KUL-10: Half-Day Kuala Lumpur City Highlights

  Despite rapid development, Kuala Lumpur has managed to retain her charm, with a skyline that blends the Old World with the New.  See the contrast of the distinctive Indo-Moorish architecture and the ultra modern edifices, the Petronas Twin Towers – tallest in the world.  Other highlights include the elegant Jamek Mosque, which occupies the symbolic birthplace of Kuala Lumpur.  Then, drives pass the bustling Chinatown and the majestic Royal Palace before stopping at the National Museum.  Enroute to the National Monument, you will pass by the beautiful Lake Gardens.  The final stop is the Craft Cultural Complex where you may chance upon local artists at work and see demonstration of fine jewellery-making at OE Design located within the same complex. 

KUL-11: Half-Day Batu Caves & Suburb

  Drive through the Ambassadors’ Row along Kuala Lumpur’s historic Ampang Road, view Malaysian suburban homes as well as rural lifestyle enroute to the internationally renowned Royal Selangor Pewter factory where you will see the art of fine pewter crafting.  
  Proceed to Gombak to see the art of Batik designing.  On the way, you will pass by typical Malay house, the more famous one being Pak Ali’s timber house which is more than 100 years old and built without nails.  
  The last stop is the spectacular Batu Caves.  This massive limestone outcrop and its cavernous interior is home to Hindu deities and one will need to climb its 272 steps to fully appreciate the caves.

KUL-12: Half-Day Nature in the City

  Visit the living tropical Nature Theme Park, in the heart of bustling Kuala Lumpur.  An educational tour of nature and environment outside the jungle, appreciate the world’s largest Butterfly Park, a kingdom with splendid haven of hundreds of vividly coloured, free-flying butterflies and other insects.  Within the vicinity are a Bird Park, a Hibiscus Garden and an Orchid Farm - which houses over 500 original species and hybrids.

KUL-13: Half-Day Tropical Fruit Farm

  Located about an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur city center, lies one of the largest commercial fruit farms in the country covering an area of 124 hectares (310 acres) with more than 15,000 trees and many varieties of seasonal and non-seasonal fruits.  Take a 45 minutes guided farm tour by road tram where you will have the opportunity to witness demonstration of wrapping and plucking of fruits and sampling of fresh tropical fruits if available.

KUL-14: High Tea at Carcosa Sri Negara

  Enjoy a typical English High Tea amidst the historic charm of Carcosa Seri Negara, a colonial mansion surrounded by 14 hectares of landscaped gardens where you can watch the splendours of nature unfold through the windows of the 19th century Malaysia.  
  Carcosa is the former residence of British High Commissioner to Malaysia, which has now been transformed into a super deluxe house accommodating visiting dignitaries such as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip of Britain.

KUL-15: Half-Day Glimpse of the Forest

   Forest Reserve Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) offers visitors the opportunity of enjoying a walk through a Malaysian Rainforest and of understanding the forest ecosystem.  This Forest Reserve is gazetted in 1926 and has a worldwide reputation as a centre of excellence in forestry research.  
  Walk through shady park-like nature trails and arboretums, among them the Dipterocarp arboretum, the oldest in FRIM.  This is a collection centre of living trees for botanical reference.  The Bambusetum displays almost 30 species of local bamboo.  Enjoy the Canopy Walk, through the treetops across a 200-metre long suspension bridge if it is open to visitors.

KUL-21: Full-Day Historical Malacca, including Lunch

   Approximately 2 hours south of Kuala Lumpur is Historical Malacca, the oldest trading port in Malaysia which has undergone Portuguese, Dutch and English rule.  Visit St. Paul’s Hill for a panoramic view of Malacca and its straits and the old town of Bandar Hilir.  View the famous gateway, the well-known Portuguese Fort de Santiago and the ruins of St. Paul’s Church lined by 17th century Dutch tombstones. 
 Enjoy a local lunch and then take a stroll along the “Antique Row” in Jonker Street.  On the way back, stop at the Cheng Hoon Teng, the oldest Chinese temple in Malaysia and view Kampong Kling, a typical Malay Village.

KUL-22: Full-Day Country Experience

  In the Malaysian countryside, about one and half-hours’ drive away from the capital city, appreciate the lifestyle of typical Malay villagers, learn how latex is tapped from rubber trees and the usage of palm oil.  Stop at a typical orchard which produces many varieties of local fruits including Guava and Durian.  Get the thrill in fish and duck farming while visiting the aborigines’ settlement and marvel at the natural beauty of cascading waterfall surrounded by rich fauna and flora.  Lunch enroute is at own expense. 

KUL-23: Full-Day Genting Highlands

  Only an hour’s drive away from city life is Genting Highlands where at 2,000 meters above sea level, is a relief from the hot and humid lowlands.  This entertainment and recreation resort boasts of the largest casino in Southeast Asia.  Try your hand at Black Jack, baccarat, and roulette or Oriental games of Keno and Tai Sai.  Other facilities include cable car ride and international standard indoor & outdoor theme parks.  Return to Kuala Lumpur after lunch (lunch at own expense).  Dress code at the casino is long-sleeve shirt with tie, suit or long-sleeve batik. 

KUL-24: Full-Day Sunway Lagoon Theme Park

  Have a fun-filled day in one of Malaysia’s premier international standard theme parks. Sunway Lagoon is separated into 5 major themed lands (Water Park, Wild Wild West, Elephant Walk & Surf Pool), each boasting their own exciting attractions. Splash in for wet rides at the 360 degrees spiral slide which will take your breath away and don’t miss out on a heart stopping 45 degree drop on the Tobogan. A slow river ride around the theme park is available to view the park’s many attractions, highlighted by an enchanting 80ft high waterfall. That’s not all! Explore the Adventure Park’s Roller Coaster, the Flying Carpet, Sky-Flyer and attempt to walk to the world’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge to complete a wonderful and exciting day. 
 

KUL-31: Kuala Lumpur by Night, including Dinner

  Begin this tour with a walk through Chinatown passing through shophouses and visit the night market with lights ablaze and rows of stalls, each with it’s own specialty goods sold at bargain prices.  Later savour a sumptuous dinner at a typical Malaysian restaurant while enjoying a spectacular array of cultural dances from East and West Malaysia complete with mock traditional Malay Wedding ceremony. 

KUL-32: Kuala Selangor Fireflies, including Dinner

  Free from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur is the countryside of Kuala Selangor, small rustic town known for its historic past and natural heritage of Mangrove forest and bird sanctuary.  Walk around the jungle trails, learn about the Mangrove trees & spot some birds – a mix of local & migratory species.   Dine in a local restaurant by the river front before boating upstream to watch thousands of fireflies sparkling in the thick mangrove along both sides of the river banks, a wonderful phenomena resembling rows of brightly lit Christmas trees.

KUL-33: A Heavenly Dining Experience

  Start the evening with a stroll in Kuala Lumpur’s famous attraction “Central Market” where a wide selection of Malaysian handicrafts and souvenirs are on display.  This is the place to have your portrait sketched by local artists in less than 15 minutes. 
  After this, you will be taken to the most imposing landmark in the city, the Kuala Lumpur Tower.  At 421 metres, it ranks as the tallest tower in Asia.  Here you will take a high-speed lift to the Seri Angkasa Revolving Restaurant for a sumptuous buffet dinner while admiring the breathtaking panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur by night.
