The handicapped are not forgotten in Shangri-La. They are provided with wider rooms with wider doors, equipped with hand rails and special bathroom facilities. Wash basins are lower to enable a person on wheelchair convenient access. 

With the completion of the Hotel’s re-imaging programme, the Horizon Club floors have been increased from three to five and feature a larger and more spacious lounge with a commanding view of the city’s skyline.

The Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur offers impressive conference and banquet facilities with experienced professional staff to ensure a smooth flow for your special occasion, whether for business or pleasure. The Grand Ballroom, a popular venue for dinners, weddings and parties, caters for up to 1,800 in an overriding elegant atmosphere. The 13 other function rooms are all fitted with the latest audio visual equipment, covering anything you may need for that conference or party. In addition to the hotel's renowned secretarial services, translation, fax and courier services, the Business Center also includes a commercial library, 4 boardrooms, and 2 executive meeting rooms. Fisherman's Joy At Sunset
A fisherman's happiest hour is when he returns to the village at sunset after a hard day's catch. It is a time of goodwill and sharing as together the fishermen share tales, admire each other's catch and mend their nets. Join the fishermen in their happiest moment. Feast on hot barbecued succulent seafood fresh from the sea and cocktails prepared by the village 'bomoh' (magic man), while the village girls croon and dance their musical folklore. The Maharaja's Palace
Our Aladdin genie at the Shangri-La will grant your every wish. Chests of gold jewels? Scores of slaves to do your every bidding? A harem of lovely ladies to entertain you? All wishes will be granted in this mystical land of the Shangri-La. Take a magic carpet trip to the land of Moghul mysticism. Sample Moghul delicacies amidst carpets and silks. We will save you the trip to Rio. Come to the Shangri-La for the carnival of your life. Put on your sequined costume, feathered head-dress and dancing shoes to join in the fun on the Carnival Street of Shangri-La. Gyrate to the brilliant rhythms and echoes of the bongo drums and carnival chant. Join the pulsating beat of the familiar samba and cha-cha dances. Bend backwards and try to make it under the lowering limbo-rock bar. After the fun exercise, quench your thirst with a delightful concoction of cocktails and indulge in delicious carnival fare. We'll provide a local troupe of natives who are renowned for their ethnic cuisine and jungle trekking capabilities to help you in your mission.
