Location: Opened in November 1999, the Filitheyo Resort is located in the unspoilt North Nilandhe Atoll, 35 minutes by the seaplane and another 10 minutes by boat, 120 kilometres south of Male International Airport. Measuring about 1,000 metres in length and 200 metres in width, the island resort is surrounded by swaying palm trees and lush tropical gardens; and is known to be the first and only resort in the Faafu Atoll that introduces the underwater world which has hardly been touched by man. Rooms: 125 appropriately furnished and well appointed 'thatched roof' Villas scattered around the island, including 16 units of Water Villas that are built on stilt over the crystal clear water of the lagoon - all have private balconies, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, open-air bathroom in traditional Maldivian design with hot & cold water shower, colour television with satellite channels, IDD telephone, hairdryer, refrigerator and mini-bar.
