The Tea
and Lobby Lounges
The Tea and
Lobby Lounges at The Regent Singapore reflect the detail and attention
that have gone into creating an attractive and relaxed setting for guests
and visitors. Flanked by bookshelves filled with both contemporary and
classical literature, the lounge areas occupy both sides of the lobby,
enhanced with custom-made lamps and Indonesian-style end tables. Sunshine
filtering down from the skylight during the day gives it an extra touch
of warmth and cosiness.
Affording a
quiet retreat from the bustle of nearby Orchard Road, The Tea Lounge is
the perfect setting for quiet business discussions or casual get-togethers.
The hotel's
commitment to quality extends to the range of refreshments available, from
a unique selection of fine teas blended specially for the Regent, to refreshing
cocktails and fine wines. An a la carte menu is available for lunch and
sandwiches, and freshly-baked pastries are specially prepared and elegantly
presented for Afternoon Tea daily from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., served on French
Limoges china, this classic tradition is a perpetual favourite of both
hotel guests and local visitors.
The Bar
Voted "one
of the world's best bars" by Newsweek magazine, The Bar at The Regent Singapore,
with its elegant club lounge setting, is the perfect haven to unwind at
the end of the day. Beyond the stately wooden columns at the entrance spreads
a room characterised by watercolour paintings, ethnic art and artifacts,
richly polished wood panelling, whirling brass ceiling fans, deep leather
sofas and comfortable, high-backed lounge chairs.
The Bar boasts
an especially fine range of wines from France, Germany, the United States,
Spain and Australia, as well as single malt whiskies from Scotland, ideal
complements to some tasty snacks. Those in the know take pleasure in browsing
through our Cigar Menu, which offers a fine selection of exceptional cigars.
Famous visiting
musicians have delighted many in The Bar. Eldee Young, one of Chicago's
premier bass players, felt "at home" here. Mitch Holder couldn't resist
stepping in to thrill us with his soulful melodies, and saxophonist Ernie
Watts entertained guests with his heart-stopping music.
