Location: Located 115 kilometres south of Colombo city on the beach front of Galle - the old Portuguese Fort rebuilt by the Dutch, which is still in a fine state of preservation today. Galle is also the centre of the ebony elephant makers, tortoise shell-craft, gem polishing and hand-made laces. The architecture of the hotel is inspired by the majesty of the fort nearby.
