Restaurants & Entertainment
One Harbour Road Chinese Restaurant
The graciousness of a bygone era has been recaptured at one of Hong Kong's premier Chinese restaurants, One Harbour Road at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Commanding unparalleled views of Hong Kong's world-famous harbour from its waterfront position, the 196-seat dual-level restaurant has been described as an elegant reincarnation of the terrace of a taipan's Peak mansion during the 1930s; a period best remembered for its high society and fine living.

At One Harbour Road, nothing has been overlooked in recreating the ambience of this period; tall trees beneath a glass conservatory roof, a lily pond carved out of stone, elegant garden furniture and tables gleaming with traditional crystal, silver and individualised china. The restaurant's cuisine is Cantonese, at its unpretentious best; there are no foreign influences, no nouvelle nuances, just traditional dishes, lovingly prepared and graciously presented.

In addition to its multilevelled individual eating areas, One Harbour Road also has a private dining room for functions of up to 20 persons. The room features a fireplace, a dining table, a cosy seating arrangement and a display of antiques and other collectable items. The Chef's Table, located within the kitchen of One Harbour Road, is a unique dining experience. Able to seat up to 12 persons, guests can have a rare glimpse into the workings of a Chinese kitchen. The restaurant is accessible via a private glass-walled elevator, located at the Lobby, or through a separate entrance on the hotel's 8th floor.
Location: 7th and 8th floors.
Open: Lunch - 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm daily; Dinner - 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm nightly
Yum-cha on Sundays - 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm

Grissini Italian Restaurant
Grissini, the popular Italian breadsticks, lends its name to Grand Hyatt Hong Kong's elegant restaurant, specialising in authentic Italian cuisine. Located on the 2nd floor of Grand Hyatt, Grissini commands panoramic views of Victoria Harbour. Its contemporary interior design and avant-garde furnishings are reminiscent of a stylish New York restaurant. Chairs by Philippe Starck and contemporary paintings by Tony Delapp add to the chic environment.

Dramatically situated at the entrance of Grissini is a large baking oven where fresh grissini breadsticks are prepared right in front of the guests, filling the whole restaurant with a delicious aroma. An extensive selection of Italian wines is displayed in a wine gallery, an impressive floor-to-ceiling wine cellar with 1000 bottles. The restaurant specialises in traditional Italian food, where only the freshest ingredients are used to prepare a cuisine that is light and refined, yet hearty in portions.
Location: 2nd floor.
Open: Lunch - 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm; Dinner - 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Kaetsu Japanese Restaurant
Kaetsu literally describes the sound that a deer makes when inviting other deer to eat. In modern parlance, it is the experience of enjoying good food and sake with good friends. Designed by renowned interior designer John Morford, Kaetsu is a chic Japanese restaurant featuring classic cuisine and the most extensive sake menu in Hong Kong.

Dramatically situated at the entrance of the restaurant is a large sushi counter with an open, elevated kitchen. The interior design employs exquisite wood, stone and clay materials, and lighting is muted to give it a cosy and sophisticated atmosphere. The tableware continues the earth-toned motif and is made of similar earthen materials. Kaetsu has a seating capacity for 60 people including the bar, which seats 22 people, and two private dining rooms for parties of up to 12 persons.
Location: Mezzanine floor.
Open:
Monday to Saturday: Lunch - 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm; Dinner - 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm
Sunday: Lunch - 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm; Dinner - 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm

Tiffin Lounge
The Tiffin Lounge at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong returns guests to the days of the British Empire, a period when lunch or high tea was affectionately known as 'tiffin', a light meal taken to appease one's appetite.

Located one floor above the Lobby, the Tiffin Lounge has a panoramic view of Victoria Harbour and of the Peak rising majestically behind it. Entrance to the Tiffin Lounge is via the two grand marble staircases leading off the Lobby. The Lounge blends into the grandeur of the dramatic 1930s-style Lobby, said by many to be one of the most imposing in Hong Kong. This interface between the two makes the Tiffin Lounge one of the most important meeting places in Hong Kong.

Live entertainment enhances the atmosphere with a pianist and jazz trio through the day. Tiffin's famous Dessert Buffet offers a wide array of sumptuous desserts with freshly prepared waffles, soufflés and crêpes as a feature. The afternoon buffet features a delicious spread of savoury and sweet items.
Location: Mezzanine floor.

There is also the Chocolatier for confectionery items, chocolates and other home-made delights.
Location: Lobby floor.
Open: Daily - 6:00 am to 1:00 am

Champagne Bar
Every grand hotel has a late-hours watering hole favoured by its regulars, and just off the Lobby of Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is a corner of Paris, circa 1920: the hotel's cosy and intimate Champagne Bar.
The Champagne Bar builds on the art deco overtones of the Lobby area and combines them with a spectrum of purple shades and rich wood, all set against dramatic art deco-patterned fabrics and carpets.

The main feature of the Champagne Bar is the circular bar itself, capped by a floral highlight of imposing dimensions. The room is further enhanced with bevelled mirror wall panels and a small stage with a grand piano. Artwork and other collectables from the past and present create a sense of occasion. The perfect place for an after-work rendezvous or a pre-theatre drink and features one of the most extensive champagne lists in Hong Kong. The menu also offers premium cognacs, cigars, caviar and wines. Another feature of the Champagne Bar is the live entertainment from a jazz vocalist performing classic French favourites.
